Penn Vet Hosts Free Lecture at Tri-State Bird Rescue in Delaware, “Caring For Your Furry, Feathered or Scaled Pet: Healthcare tips for owners of exotic pets”

Drs. La’Toya Latney and Nicole Wyre slated to speak at Sunday, September 18 event

[August 30, 2011; Philadelphia, PA] – On Sunday, September 18 the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) will host a free, open-to-the-public lecture called “Caring For Your Furry, Feathered or Scaled Pet: Healthcare tips for owners of exotic pets,” at Tri-State Bird Rescue in Newark, DE. Beginning at 2:00 PM, Drs. La’Toya Latney and Nicole Wyre of Penn Vet’s Exotic Companion Animal Medicine and Surgery Service, will offer tips for owners of exotic pets on such subjects as grooming, nutrition, behavior, proper bedding and temperature.

Who: Penn Vet, interested members of the public.

What: Free lecture titled “Caring For Your Furry, Feathered or Scaled Pet: Healthcare tips for owners of exotic pets,” featuring Drs. La’Toya Latney and Nicole Wyre of Penn Vet.

When: Lecture beginning at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 18, 2011 and ending at 3:30 PM.
