Lockers, Mail and Packages, Telephones, Etc.

Telephone messages
The Office of Student Affairs will only accept telephone messages for students in the event of a serious FAMILY MEDICAL EMERGENCY. Under no circumstances (other than family medical emergency) should you provide friends, spouses, vendors, etc. with the telephone number of the Office of Student Affairs as a referral number. If you expect to have, or are currently involved in, a situation where you will need to be contacted during class hours, please find an alternate way, such as personal pager or cell phone, in which you may be contacted.
Packages
DO NOT HAVE ANY PACKAGES ADDRESSED TO YOU USING THE ADDRESS OF THE SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE NOR IN CARE OF THE OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS. Any package received will be returned to sender. We regret this action, however we do not have a large, secure area in which to store student packages. Please have packages mailed to you at your home address. If your home address is not a secure ship-to location, you are urged to use an alternate service such as renting a PO Box at the US Post Office or The UPS StoreĀ® (3720 Spruce Street). The UPS StoreĀ® offers special student rates. For information detailing their services, please call them at (215) 222-2840.
Lockers
First, Second and Third Year Student Lockers are located in the basement of the Rosenthal Building. Students are limited to ONE locker only. First year microscope lockers use a special lock provided at Orientation at no charge. There is a $5.00 charge for any replacement locks. As all lockers are cleaned during the summer months, you must remove all items from lockers at the end of every academic year (May) along with the lock. Any locks remaining will be cut with locker contents discarded. Fourth Year Student lockers are located in the basement of VHUP. You must contact the Office of Student Affairs for locker room combinations.
Fax Service
There are no "student fax machines." Students are not permitted to use the fax machine in the Office of Student Affairs. There are many locations on campus where you may fax (The UPS Store, Campus Copy, Kinko's, etc.). Students may RECEIVE faxes at the Office of Student Affairs. Faxes received for students should have an accompanying cover sheet from the sender with the student's name and class year. Faxes must be picked up by the students. Faxes will not be delivered to student mailboxes.
Veterinary School Merchandise
The Office of Student Affairs does not market T-shirts and other veterinary school merchandise. These items are only produced and sold through individual student clubs or organizations. Please contact them directly.
