As a means of showcasing the excellence in student research and academic achievements, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) holds an annual student research symposium. The overall purpose of the event is to award and acknowledge the academic and research achievements of students enrolled in the School of Veterinary Medicine. There are six presentations by students (basic and clinical research), selected by a faculty panel from submitted abstracts. Students, residents, interns, graduate students and faculty from all departments are encouraged to participate in this event and to hear about the exciting research taking place in the School.
