Academic Year 2009-2010
All incoming students must be inoculated against rabies. If you have already had your inoculations, a copy of your dated proof of rabies vaccinations certificate must be supplied to the Office of Student Affairs before Orientation. If your vaccinations were performed prior to the summer before matriculation, you will need to present 1) proof of original vaccinations and 2) an adequate titer result performed after June 1, 2009. You will need a titer of greater than 1:5 to ensure complete coverage. If you have not had your vaccinations, the three-dose IM shots will be given to you at the University's Student Health Center during September. The cost for academic year 2009-2010 will be $750.00 ($250.00 per shot). Your appointments will be made for you by the Office of Student Affairs. Sign-up sheets for the vaccinations will be available during Orientation.
***Students covered under the University's Student Health Insurance Plan (PSIP) will receive reimbursement as immunizations are included in coverage. *** Health insurance packets and enrollment information will be mailed directly by the Health Insurance Office to all students over the summer.
