She is interested in evaluation of patients with bleeding disorders, particularly platelet defects and heritable factor VII deficiency. Dr. Callan has evaluated plateletpheresis as an option for producing a high quality canine platelet concentrate for transfusion and is working towards developing a therapeutic apheresis program at MJR-VHUP.
