The Open Registry was begun in 1997, with updates every 1-2 years. Update 2011 has 1000+ dogs listed with PLE (protein-losing enteropathy), PLN (protein-losing nephropathy), combined PLE/PLN, juvenile renal disease/renal dysplasia, inflammatory bowel disease, and/or Addison's disease, the genetic diseases to which this breed is predisposed. Our SCWT DNA Bank has 600+ samples (affected and geriatric SCWT).
