Pathologist, Large Animal Anatomic Pathology
The Department of Pathobiology, University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for a position in Anatomic Pathology at its New Bolton Center campus located in rural Chester County, Pennsylvania close to Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware. The individual will have primary responsibility in diagnostic pathology, which will entail necropsy and surgical pathology duty and active involvement in teaching pathology residents and veterinary students. There will be an opportunity for the investigation of spontaneous diseases of large animals and collaboration with other diagnostic specialists in avian medicine and pathology, microbiology, and toxicology. There is an opportunity to interact with clinical and basic scientists in Animal Health and Productivity, Equine Sports Medicine and Imaging, and Infectious Disease and Food Safety, all located at New Bolton Center. There is also an opportunity for collaboration with faculty on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia, especially in the Department of Pathobiology, Philadelphia. Applicants should have a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree and be board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists or eligible to sit for the ACVP boards. Research Associate, Department of Pathobiology, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.
Applications are invited for a position as a Research Associate to work on virus-host interactions that contribute to virus replication and pathogenesis. The candidate needs to have a Ph.D. and 4-5 years of post-doctoral experience. He/She should also be versed in cell culture, confocal microscopy, and general molecular virological techniques. Considerable time will be devoted to the identification of virus-host interactions in cell culture and determining the physical and functional aspects of these protein-protein interactions. Additional experience with two photon microscopy would be desirable, but not required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Clinical Pathologist, Lecturer
The Department of Pathobiology, University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for a position in Clinical Pathology at campus located in Philadelphia. The lectureship in consists principally of clinical service duty and professional consultation in the areas of cytology, hematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, endocrinology, general pathology, laboratory methods and instrumentation. Clinical laboratory service duty will include individual (independent) service as well as secondary service, involving supervision over and instruction of clinical pathology residents-in-training. Lecturers are also expected to participate in the clinical and didactic instruction of interns and residents outside the discipline of clinical pathology as requested by associated faculty. Other responsibilities/opportunities entailed by your lectureship include attendance and presentation at bi-monthly clinical pathology board-preparatory rounds, journal club and cytology rounds; elective attendance at weekly school-wide seminars; elective attendance at human cytology rounds at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania; assistance with instruction of the Clinical Pathology curriculum; elective attendance and participation in various histopathology rounds.
