The major missions of the department are teaching in the veterinary curriculum and in graduate programs and research on fundamental aspects of cellular and molecular biology as they apply to disease. Sections are
Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Physiology.
Located in Kennett Square, Pa., Clinical Studies–New Bolton Center includes sections of Animal Production Systems, Biostatistics, Critical Care and Anesthesia, Epidemiology & Public Health, Field Services, Large Animal Medicine, Large Animal Surgery, Reproduction and Sports Medicine & Imaging.
Located on the University of Pennsylvania campus in West Philadelphia, Clinical Studies–Philadelphia includes sections of Behavior & Human–Animal Interaction,Cardiology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Epidemiology, Medical Genetics, Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, Small Animal Medicine, Small Animal Surgery and Special Species.
Located on both campuses, the department includes sections of Avian Medicine & Pathology, Laboratory Animal Medicine, Microbiology & Immunology, Parasitology and Pathology & Toxicology.
