The Section's mission is the diagnosis and management of naturally occurring neurologic disorders in companion animals. Expertise in neurologic assessment combined with the full range of electrodiagnostic and current imaging methods allow us to understand and manage these diseases. We are committed also to advancing our ability to perform these tasks and to enhance the efficacy of our effort and the scope of our discipline.
In-house Consultations:
The Neurology Service is available for consultations Monday through Friday during normal business hours and on the weekend between 8:00am and noon. The most direct means of ordering a consultation is to call the neurology nurse or the resident on duty. Neurology residents are also on call for after hours emergency consultation according to the schedule posted outside of room 3107.
Out-patient Referrals:
At present, the hospital appointment desk schedules new neurology appointments on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday, and on other days by special arrangement. Scheduled surgery is generally performed on Monday and Thursday. Emergency surgical treatment is performed as necessary.
Appointments may be arranged by a client or the referring veterinarian. Pertinent historical or diagnostic test results may be faxed directly to us at 215.898.6473.
