 Penn Vet Students at SAVMA Symposium
Penn Vet students traveled to the University of California at Davis for the 2011 Student AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) Symposium March 24-27. They attended veterinary lectures and met their peers from veterinary schools across the country.

Members of VCIC are viewing this dog's capillaries in it's gums, seen on the screen. They are conducting a study evaluating the effects of fluid therapy on microcirculation during spay surgery.

Penn Vet provides an important service to Pennsylvania's poultry and egg industry with it's diagnostic and testing labs. Dr. Shelley Rankin played a pivotal role in the production of an FDA-approved egg safety test kit.
