Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center Receives $11,323 Grant from Thoroughbred Charities of America

[October 8, 2012; Kennett Square, PA] –The Board of Directors of Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) has approved a grant of $11,323 for Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center.
In a letter announcing the grant, TCA Executive Director Erin Crady writes, “We have determined that your grant request upholds the mission of TCA, which is to provide a better life for thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue and research and by helping the people who work with them.”

Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) is a charitable organization that provides grants to non-profit organizations that work toward improving the lives of Thoroughbred racehorses and the people who work with them. TCA offers the Thoroughbred industry and its supporters a way to give to one organization while helping many.
The organization distributes grants to four categories of organizations, including:
- Thoroughbred rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, adoption and retirement
- Education and backstretch employee programs
- Therapeutic riding programs that utilize Thoroughbreds
- Equine research
