Office of Public Relations

Meeting Penn Vet's Communication Needs
Penn Vet's Office of Public Relations works to increase awareness, understanding and support of Penn Vet’s vision, mission and accomplishments. Working with the Dean, administrative leaders, faculty and staff, PR provides communication services and support—significantly contributing to the advancement of the Penn Vet as it relates to its target audiences, local community and internal and external constituents.
Included in PR’s services are brand management, advertising, internal and external publications and communication, creative services, photography, Web site development and management, media and community relations, proposal writing and editing and official correspondence.
Publications
The Public Relations Office develops and produces Penn Vet's key publications, including Bellwether newsmagazine, school and hospital brochures, course catalogs and fundraising pieces to name a few—as well as editorial, design, photography coordination and other support services for brochures, newsletters, advertisements, invitations and other projects essential to communicating Penn Vet's messages.
Media Relations
Public Relations Office staff work with local, regional and national media to secure coverage for Penn Vet. Through strong relationships with faculty and staff, stories are developed about research, cases, faculty achievements, academic topics and students. Through distribution of news releases, placing stories, arranging media visits and other forms of formal communication, PR seeks opportunities to position faculty and staff as experts in their fields and increase awareness of the school.
