Penn Vet Student Inspiration Awards
Penn Vet World Awards

The Penn Vet Student Inspiration Awards
The Penn Vet Student Inspiration Awards are to be given annually to two current Penn Vet students. Each of the two $100,000 awards is designed to inspire ambition and reward –
- Enterprise
- Creativity
- Vision
- Talent
These awards encourage students to invent their future in veterinary medicine and provide opportunities far beyond those at any other veterinary school in the world. The Penn Vet Student Inspiration Awards recognize students’ potential to advance the frontiers of veterinary medicine and expand the profession’s impact on the well-being of animals and society.
Winners are selected by an awards committee comprised of veterinary and non-veterinary leaders associated with the University of Pennsylvania. The committee’s decisions are based on 1,000-word essays outlining how applicants will use the funds to fulfill a life-changing dream in veterinary medicine. Announcement of the winners will be made at a ceremony in the spring.
Applicants selected as finalists for the Penn Vet Student Inspiration Awards will defend their proposals in interviews with the awards committee. A letter from the student’s faculty mentor must accompany each application. Submission deadline is January 15, 2009. These competitive awards are available to the entire student body.
