Quick FAQ
Q: Does this treatment cost me any money?
A: No. Surgical treatment is provided to appropriate cases free of charge through generous funding from a private donor.
Q: Are there other commitments I must make?
A: Yes. It is imperative that animals treated in the program have detailed and thorough follow-up examinations every 4 months of the first year and every 6 months for the rest of the dog’s life.
This is vital for the health of the dog and the information generated for the study. Therefore we seek owners committed to
bringing their pets back to the Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital in Philadelphia, PA., for follow-up examinations.
