Basic Information
The George D. Widener Hospital on our New Bolton Center campus in Kennett Square, PA, sees approximately 6,000 patients a year, and makes more than 19,000 patients visits through our Field Service program.
Facilities at the hospital include an orthopedic operating suite adjacent to a recovery pool where animals safely emerge from anesthesia. Our Intensive Care Unit provides critical care to seriously ill large animals, and one of its wings converts to a neonatal unit during foaling season.
Diagnostic and treatment equipment at the hospital include a high-speed treadmill, where sophisticated endoscopic and cardiac workups can be performed. Nuclear scintigraphy, ultrasonography, digital radiography and arthroscopic and laser surgery are available.
