Embryo Transfer Services
The Section of Reproduction & Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, New Bolton Center, provides comprehensive care of horses, cattle, sheep, swine, goats, & camelids. Our clinicians have over 80 years of combined experience and are board certified by the American college of Theriogenologists.
Based at the Georgia and Philip Hofmann Research Center for Animal Reproduction since 1970, we combine years of clinical experience with the latest research and technology. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your animals.
The Hofmann Center offers a full range of embryo transfer services. Clients can choose between using one of Hofmann Center's resident recipient mares or providing their own recipient mare. We accept embryos transported from other facilities and recover embryos for domestic transport. Embryo freezing and donor mare superovulation are also available.
Option 1: Donor mare managed by Hofmann Center, embryo recovery and recipient provided by Hofmann Center.
Option 2: Donor managed outside Hofmann Center, embryo recovery and recipient provided by Hofmann Center.
Option 3: Donor and recipient provided by owner, both mares managed by Hofmann Center.
Option 4: Donor and recipient provided by owner, both mares managed outside Hofmann Center.
Option 5: Recipient mare provided by Hofmann Center, embryo received from an outside facility.
Option 6: Embryo recovered by Hofmann Center and transported to an outside facility.
Option 7: All items charged separately at the time services are rendered.
