Jeffrey Carey received the Ed Hiestand Memorial Veterinary Student Scholarship from the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association this year and presented a talk ("Etiologies of Nodular Skin Lesions in Passerines") at the NWRA Symposium in Portland, OR. The associated paper will appear in the conference proceedings.

Samra Zelman won a Keystone Symposia Scholarship (Office of AIDS Research, National Institutes of Health Scholarship), which is a merit-based scholarship that awards funding for travel to Keystone Symposia. Katie presented a poster on HIV Vaccines X2 and her abstract was entitled In vitro Correlates of Attentuation for an SIVmac239 Variant Containing A Mutation of Tyr-Dependent Trafficking Signal in the Env Cytoplasmic Tail.
