SPEAKER: Dr. Alexander Reiter, Dipl AVDC, EVDC, Professor of Dentistry & Oral Surgery 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: After attending this seven-hour lecture and wet-lab, participants will feel comfortable with decision making regarding indications for extractions in dogs. Participants will become familiar with closed and open extraction techniques, including creation of oral surgical flaps for extraction of multiple teeth in the same quadrant. Oral nerve blocks will be practiced. Finally, a discussion of complications of extraction and how to deal with them will allow attendees to be prepared when procedures take unexpected turns.
