Students will spend a day at the New Bolton Center campus in Kennett Square. One of the day's activities will be visiting the Marshak Dairy and learning about milk production and herd care.

Staff from University Laboratory Animal Resources conduct an animal handling lab. Students will learn about lab animal care and the proper way to catch and hold mice.

Working dogs

Another subject students are exposed to is that of working dogs. Dogs can be trained to provide a variety of tasks, from bomb detection to seeing-eye to police work. Here, a Delaware police force demonstrates hold and release training with one of their K-9 officers.
