Department of Clinical Studies–Philadelphia
VISITOR POLICY FOR VETERINARIANS

Visiting Academicians are welcome in clinics and classrooms on the basis of individual agreements arranged with members of the faculty, following approval by the Section Chief and the Department Chairman.   No fees will be charged.

Visiting Practitioners seeking additional training or wanting to participate on an occasional day or for several days in a clinical discipline must be approved by the Section Chief and the Department Chairman.  A Visiting Practitioner will be subject to a fee of a minimum of $200/day, commencing on the first working day.  Please consult with the appropriate Section Chief as the fee can be modified or waived at the discretion of the Section.  Monies will be allocated to the Section where the visitor spends his/her time.

ALL APPROVED VETERINARY VISITORS ARE GRANTED “OBSERVER” STATUS WITH NO PATIENT CARE RESPONSIBILITIES

It is important that all visiting academicians and practitioners sign a release of responsibility form and provide written evidence of having medical health insurance.  All visitors must report to the Chairman’s Office on the day of their arrival to sign in and present the necessary paperwork.

Any deviations from this policy must be approved by the appropriate Section

All requests for visits by practitioners/academics to Clinical Studies–Philadelphia should be made through the Department Chair's Office by calling 215-898-1531 or e-mailing: christej@vet.upenn.edu.
