My primary research interests are in the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the hypothalamic control of sleep and wakefulness, their ontogenetic development, and the mechanisms by which early developmental insults, such as prenatal exposure to alcohol disrupt neurochemical signaling involved in the regulation of sleep.
My research experience also includes:
In our studies, we combine in vivo and in vitro experimental approaches and use various methods of molecular and cellular biology, neuroanatomy and electrophysiology. |
