| Dr. Reiter graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, Austria in 1996 and spent 1.5 years in private practice in Arizona prior to moving to Philadelphia. At the University of Pennsylvania, he was a Resident in Dentistry 1998-2000 and a Lecturer in Dentistry 2000-2003. During this time Dr. Reiter completed a thesis on feline dental disease. He is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC). Dr. Reiter is an Assistant Professor of Dentistry and the Director of the Dental Residency Program. His research interests include comparative aspects of tooth resorption in domestic carnivores and humans, periodontal surgery, oral/maxillofacial surgery (trauma and oncology), facial and palate reconstruction, oral manifestation of systemic disease, and systemic manifestation of oral disease. Dr. Reiter has presented numerous lectures at national and international meetings and published several articles on veterinary dentistry, oral/maxillofacial surgery, and oral medicine. |
