We Welcome You To Get Involved
Start a Collection or Conduct a Special Event to Raise Funds
The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine has been overwhelmed by the generosity and support of those wanting to help pay tribute to Barbaro, his owners, and caregivers. We hope you will consider joining us in the fight to improve care for animals like Barbaro or those suffering from laminitis by either supporting the Barbaro Fund, the Laminitis Research Fund or the Friends of New Bolton Center.
If you would like to send a gift you can find about giving options at: Giving To Penn.
If you or your group would like to start a collection or conduct a special event to raise funds, we ask the following:
- Fill out the following contact information below and return to us.
- Understand that for legal reasons we cannot authorize the use of any photo of Barbaro or the use of our logo.
- Be explicit with anyone contributing to your efforts about how much of the donor’s gift will go towards the designated fund.
- Be clear with supporters that unless they write their own check directly to University of Pennsylvania, they can not claim a tax deduction UNLESS your organization is a registered 501(c) 3 organization.
- Use the following language on any of your materials: “The University School of Veterinary Medicine name is used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, individual or political position.”
- Include the following contact information on all Materials: “For more information about the U of PA School of Veterinary Medicine, please call 1-215-898-1480 or email at www.vet.upenn.edu.”
- Collect and send ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) OF THE DONATIONS to the University of PA.
- Comply with all federal, state and local charitable solicitation statutes, regulations and ordinances that affect or apply to you and the fundraising activities you orchestrate.
- Know that any gift – large or small – will make a real difference in how animals of the future can recover from illness at Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center and all over the world.
