The future of veterinary medicine
will be defined largely by basic research scientists and
clinicians working together. A major component of the School's
mission is a commitment to advancing the frontiers of knowledge
about animal health and disease to improve animal well-being.
Funding faculty research is one way you can help ensure the
continued advancement of veterinary medicine.
- Fund Faculty Research: For more information
about opportunities to fund faculty research, please contact

- Center for the Interaction of Animals and Society (CIAS): Gifts to the CIAS support the study of animal welfare and human-animal interactions, as well as community outreach and educational programs. The Center works to promote the humane use and treatment of animals through research and education, and seeks to advance our understanding of the mutually-beneficial relationships formed between people and animals. To learn about opportunities to fund the Center, please contact Elana Beck Arons at elbeck@vet.upenn.edu, or call (215) 898-4235. You can also view the Center’s support page.
