Service and Support Facilities
A number of other services and support facilities available at NBC include:

The Center for Animal Health and Productivity (CAHP)
Programs involve an integrated approach to flock and animal herd health, employing expertise in disciplines such as clinical nutrition, reproduction, health economics, and computer science in addition to conventional specialties in veterinary medicine.  The focus of the CAHP is the maintenance of physical and economic health and profitability in the whole animal population rather than clinical treatment of individual sick animals.

Field Studies Unit
A field studies unit it has been developed at NBC in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System (PADLS). The field studies unit will provide the academic and technical support to clinically investigate economically significant animal health and production problems in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Information will be shared with other participants say the programmatic health-care interventions can be developed on a statewide basis.

The Marshak Dairy
To further our advancements in the dairy industry the school has constructed the first greenhouse-type dairy complex in Pennsylvania.  The Marshak dairy, an academic unit for teaching, research, and outreach in dairy production medicine will also served as a model of nutrient management to demonstrate how dairies can operate in environmentally friendly ways while maintaining productivity, health and profitability.  Through its programs, the Marshak dairy will impact the economics of viability of dairy producers in the region and help Pennsylvania and its neighbors to maintain a position of national leadership in dairying.

Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System ( PADLS)
The laboratories of large animal pathology and toxicology, avian Medicine and pathology, microbiology, and clinical laboratory or part of a tripartite laboratory system, funded by the Pennsylvania animal health and diagnostic Commission.  Specimens are accepted 24 hours a day.  The facilities are credited by the American Association of veterinary laboratory diagnosticians and offer state-of-the-art diagnostic services. 

The Center for Infectious Disease and Food Safety (CIDFS)
Is committed to research and training it will increase the ability to prevent and control microbial and helminth diseases that threaten the health and well-being of humans and animals.
