The mission of the Penn Vet Cancer Center is to:
- Support interdisciplinary clinical care of veterinary oncology patients
- Foster research to help understand the causes of cancer and inform cancer prevention
- Develop new diagnostics, prognostics and therapies for veterinary and human cancer patients
- Sponsor training in Cancer Biology and Clinical Oncology
The Penn Vet Cancer Center is comprised of scientists and physicians using innovative approaches to understanding the biology of cancer and developing approaches to treating cancer. Our goal is to translate basic discoveries and advances in clinical oncology to bear on the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of cancer in all species.
