The VMD-PhD program is designed to enable students to simultaneously pursue VMD and PhD degrees. Doctoral research is performed in any one of 9 graduate groups at Penn, giving students a choice of over 500 laboratories for scientific research.

NIH/Merck Summer Research (http://www.vet.upenn.edu/programs/nihmerck/)

The NIH/Merck Summer Research program enables veterinary students to perform full time research during the summer months in any laboratory on the Penn campus. Students receive a stipend as well as course credit.
