Biography Candace A. Jacobs has been vice president of quality assurance and environmental affairs at H-E-B since September 2005. She is responsible for food safety/sanitation at more than 300 stores in Texas and northern Mexico, own brand quality assurance, product quality laboratory, and environmental compliance and programs for the company. Formerly, Dr. Jacobs was director of acientific and regulatory affairs at The Coca-Cola Company from 2000 to 2005. She was responsible for all aspects of North America product compliance with FDA food regulations as well as global company scientific and regulatory initiatives, activities, reporting and partnerships. Prior to that, Dr. Jacobs held management positions at the Washington State Department of Agriculture, as state toxicologist with the Nebraska Department of Health, retired US Air Force reserves colonel, active duty veterinary with the Naval Ocean Systems Center. Private veterinary practice experience includes work as a part-time relief/emergency small animal veterinarian in San Diego County and in mixed practice in Laramie, WY. She p currently is president of the American Association of Food Hygiene Veterinarians. |
