As we continue to learn more about COVID-19 and its impacts, the health and wellbeing of our clients and the community is our upmost priority, as is the health our faculty, students and staff. We remain dedicated to providing the highest level of clinical service during this challenging and fluid time.
Out an abundance of caution, we will be implementing temporary proactive practices to decrease external foot traffic in critical hospital areas. This includes new client visiting policies as well as updated admissions and reception practices.
Beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020, the following client-facing changes will be in effect:
- Clients should arrange to drop off their animal(s) and return home immediately. A member of New Bolton Center’s clinical care team will greet you in the trailer parking lot and unload your animal.
- Animal registration will be confirmed online or over the phone and verified upon arrival. Please call New Bolton Center Admissions at 610-444-5800 to schedule an appointment or alert us to an incoming emergency case.
- Patient visitation will be limited to patients who are critically ill or require critical medical decision. Permission for visitation must be obtained by your clinician through the Hospital Director.
- Animal pick up and drop off (with the exception of emergencies) will be limited to 7am-7pm. If you have extenuating circumstances, please let New Bolton Center’s Admissions team know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please note that these policy updates do not impact our availability. New Bolton Center remains fully operational and is actively providing care to our large animal patients.
We understand that circumstances may change as the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold. Please feel free to call us at 610-444-5800 if you have any questions.
