Setting Up Your Email

Congratulations on your acceptance to Penn Vet and welcome to the Penn Vet community. 

All Penn Vet students are provided with:

  • An email account and class mailing list services
  • Personal network storage
  • Antivirus software
  • Web portal access to academic and administrative services
  • Access to digital curriculum
  • Help Desk support
  • Network connectivity throughout our campuses
  • Access to computing lab facilities

You will be hearing more about these services in the months ahead. For now we will be providing you access to email. 

Penn Vet uses Zimbra Collaboration Suite (Zimbra).  Zimbra integrates email, contacts, and shared calendars as one product. Zimbra also integrates and synchronizes calendaring and email with most handhelds and PDAs. All Penn Vet affiliates will have 1000MB of storage on Zimbra.

If you are unsure of your PennKey username and password, please visit http://www.upenn.edu/computing/pennkey/setreset/ for help on resetting your PennKey username and password:  .

If you encounter problems creating your Penn Vet email account, i.e. you can't authenticate with your Pennkey Username and password, or you get an error message, Please contact the Penn Vet IT Help Desk by emailing phl-help@vet.upenn.edu.
Once you have created your email address, you can check your email by visiting and authenticating with your PennKey username and password at:  http://zimbra.upenn.edu.
