Are you prepared to help your cat or dog in an emergency? Join us for a free lecture that takes a practical, easy-to-understand look at what’s normal for your pet—and what signals trouble.
 

Deborah C. Mandell, VMD, DACVECC will guide you through how to respond to common emergencies, including choking and breathing difficulties, what to do before you reach a veterinarian, and the household toxins every pet owner should be aware of. As a contributor to the Red Cross Pet First Aid App and the Red Cross dog and cat first aid online courses, Dr. Mandell brings invaluable expertise you won’t want to miss.

About the Speaker

Deborah C. Mandell, VMD, ACVECC is Professor of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine & Director of Emergency Service at the Ryan Veterinary Hospital. She obtained her VMD from University of Pennsylvania and is board certified in Emergency and Critical Care. Her interests include first aid for pet owners, and she is currently performing a systematic review of first aid for pet owners for the RECOVER initiative with Dr. Vince Thawley. She is the National American Red Cross Pet Care Advisor and a member of the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.
