With a lifetime of exploring his strong interest in supporting the health of wildlife and our precious ecosystems under the supportive eyes of mentors who encouraged him to pursue this interest through veterinary medicine, Ron Landy V’82 went on to a wonderful rewarding career working in public health and environmental protection including 34 years with the U.S. Public Health Service, Environmental Protection Agency and other government entities.
Establishing the Ronald B. Landy V’82 Family Travel Prize with his wife Paula, his partner in these adventures, was a way for Ron to encourage future veterinarians interested in expanding the horizons of veterinary medicine by exploring novel areas in which to contribute. This travel prize gives current students the opportunity to seek out innovative and cutting edge career paths.
Dr. Landy passed away peacefully in October 2018. Please make a gift in his honor.
