Effective Friday, June 26, 2020, New Bolton Center’s Field Service will resume offering its full scope of on-location veterinary services to all current clients. This is result of the Pennsylvania counties in our practice area continuing to ease COVID-19 related restrictions, putting them on par with the current recommendations in our practice areas in northern Delaware and Maryland.
As these restrictions ease, the health of our clients, clinicians, and staff remains at the forefront of New Bolton Center’s concern. For the safety of all involved, we continue to require that face masks be worn during all veterinary appointments by the individuals that will be working closely with our clinicians. We are aware that many farms have resumed normal activities with full access to horse owners, as well as the return of lessons and riding camps. We ask that any unmasked individuals present in the barns where our examinations are taking place maintain safe physical distance while we are working on your horse(s).
If you are feeling unwell; are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath; have tested positive/are pending results for COVID-19; or have had exposure to a person confirmed to be COVID-19 positive within fourteen days of your appointment, please call 610-925-6310 to discuss and/or reschedule.
Additionally, beginning June 29th, 2020, a small cohort of Penn Vet students will begin rotating through Field Service to observe, learn, and assist clinicians during appointments.
In an effort to safeguard the health of everyone involved with this transition, we have instituted proactive procedures including having the students drive separately to the appointments and wear face masks for the duration of exams in which they are participating.
Clients who are not comfortable with this arrangement or may have concerns about an additional person present during an appointment, please call 610-925-6310 prior to your appointment. We are looking forward to teaching while maintaining a safe environment for all.
