Regulation of Sleep and Sleep-related Respiratory Disorders
Description: Conduct research on the regulation of sleep and sleep-related respiratory disorders in rat models. Under the supervision of the principal investigator, he/she is expected to conduct behavioral and neuropharmacological experiments, analyze results and produce reports. The work includes aseptic surgeries and complex processing of electrical signals recorded from behaving animals. Studies are conducted in direct collaboration with a postdoctoral researcher and undergraduate student and, involve considerable advance planning and participation in regular group meetings. The position is funded by extramural grants and is currently secured from September, 2018 through April, 2019.
Requirements: Experience with behavioral studies in rats, surgical skills, proven familiarity with neuroscience research, at least 2 years of relevant lab experience, and authorship on at least one relevant publication. Candidates with PhD degree are preferred but MSc degree combined with prior research accomplishments will be considered.

Description: Conduct research in the field of reproductive genetics. Under the supervision of the principal investigator, he/she is expected to design experiments, study animal models using genetic approaches, and perform cell biological and biochemical experiments on reproductive cells. Additional duties include training students and participation in regular group meeting and scientific meetings.
Requirements: A PhD or equivalent degree is required. A minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience in the field of biomedical research and a minimum of one first-authored research publication is required for this position.
