Although the occurrence of heart attacks and heart failure is rare in horses, there are certain anomalies and diseases of the heart that are seen in horses, including heart murmurs, congenital heart defects, atrial fibrillation, degenerative valvular deformities, myocardial and vascular disease.
New Bolton Center's board-certified specialists are members of a multidisciplinary group consisting of board certified internists, surgeons and sports medicine and rehabilitation specialists.
