- Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM)
- Cervical Vertebral Malformation/Cervical Vertebral Instability (CVM/CVI), also known as “Wobbler syndrome”
- Neurologic Lyme disease (neuroborreliosis)
- Trauma
- Degenerative myeloencephalopathies
- Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy (EHM)
- West Nile Virus (WNV)
