Veterinary Nursing
Clinical Services offered at New Bolton Center are supported by an elite team of veterinary technicians who work as nurses.
The nursing staff at New Bolton Center is cross-trained to provide care in all areas of the hospital, including Emergency & Critical Care, Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, and Surgery, among others.
Our nurses are credentialed veterinary technicians, and many pursue additional certification as Veterinary Technician Specialists. In addition to being certified, our nurses teach, publish, and speak at national conferences. New Bolton Center nurses rigorously engage in continuing education, and lead the movement forward for future veterinary technicians.
As a leader in veterinary education, Penn Vet has long recognized the integral role of the certified veterinary technician in the delivery of quality veterinary care. Our mission is to prepare the future leaders in the field of veterinary medicine, which includes our commitment to veterinary nursing students. Since 1975, we have partnered with Harcum College to facilitate veterinary technician education, contributing to the growth of a substantial number of accomplished veterinary nurses who have proudly made significant contributions to our profession.
