
Billy I. Smith, DVM, ABVP
Dr. Smith earned his DVM from Louisiana State University in 1991 and an MS in Veterinary Science from the University of Florida in 1996. Dr. Smith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, certified in Food Animal Practice. His clinical focus is on transition dairy cow management of medical and surgical problems, monitoring bovine health protocols in dairy and beef herds, and implementation of preventative disease measures in food animals. Dr. Smith’s research interests include all aspects of ruminant preventative health, medicine, and surgery.
