About Us

The Wildlife Futures Program is a health partnership between the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and the Pennsylvania Game Commission, integrating disease surveillance and mitigation into a single, united effort to address wildlife populations at risk.
By combining the vast expertise and resources of the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania’s only veterinary school, the Wildlife Futures Program implements a forward-thinking approach to ensure that Pennsylvania’s wild species thrive for generations.
Based out of Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, the Wildlife Futures Program was co-founded by ecologist Julie Ellis, PhD and veterinarian and toxicologist Lisa Murphy, VMD.
