Announcing the Launch of Penn Vet’s Redesigned Website
The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Vet) is proud to announce the launch of our redesigned website. Over the past two years, the School has collaborated with administrators, faculty, students, and alumni to build a new site that reflects the evolving needs of our audiences and prospective students. The new website combines streamlined navigation with a minimalist approach; elevated visuals with striking typography; and just the right touch of motion.
“We are extremely proud of the new website, and we are confident that it offers a more elevated presentation of Penn Vet’s mission,” said the School’s Chief Communications Officer Martin Hackett. “This redesign creates a compelling platform for us to share our value proposition in an inspirational manner. It still reflects the School’s soul, but with a new look, and a design that just feels right.”
New website highlights:
Improved way finding: Revitalized navigation menus, streamlined content, with a custom branded modular framework.
Tailored experience for patient care: Our veterinary hospitals have dedicated, navigable micro sites giving pet owners clear access to the clinical services they need.
New ways to access our academic programs: Future students can access and explore our degree programs in several ways, including from our Homepage or by way of our Programs or Student Life navigation categories.
“Our intent was to create a sense of place. Months of research, discovery discussions, feedback, UX workshops, and design sprints have led us to a new digital experience that we are proud of,” said Hackett. “Intentional design, cleaner layouts, convey a look that truly reflects who we are today. I am exceptionally grateful for the expertise of our web development partners, our implementation team, and the countless members of our community who supported and assisted us in this transformation.”

About Penn Vet
Ranked among the top ten veterinary schools worldwide, the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) is a global leader in veterinary education, research, and clinical care. Founded in 1884, Penn Vet is the first veterinary school developed in association with a medical school. The school is a proud member of the One Health initiative, linking human, animal, and environmental health.
Penn Vet serves a diverse population of animals at its two campuses, which include extensive diagnostic and research laboratories. Ryan Hospital in Philadelphia provides care for dogs, cats, and other domestic/companion animals, handling more than 34,600 patient visits a year. New Bolton Center, Penn Vet’s large-animal hospital on nearly 700 acres in rural Kennett Square, PA, cares for horses and livestock/farm animals. The hospital handles more than 6,200 patient visits a year, while our Field Services have gone out on more than 5,500 farm service calls, treating some 18,700 patients at local farms. In addition, New Bolton Center’s campus includes a swine center, working dairy, and poultry unit that provide valuable research for the agriculture industry.
