
Alicia E. Long, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC
Dr. Long received her veterinary degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed an internship at Rhinebeck Equine, in New York, followed by another internship rotating between the large animal internal medicine department at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University and the Massachusetts Equine Clinic, an ambulatory private practice. She completed a residency at Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center in large animal internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in large animal emergency and critical care. Her research interests focus on equine colic and the intestinal microbiome.
