Dr. Parente is recognized primarily for upper respiratory and transendoscopic laser surgery but continues to participate in the evaluation of poor performance and laparoscopic and general sof t tissue surgery. He received his veterinary degree from Cornell University. Then, he completed an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine and his surgical residency at New Bolton Center, where he is currently a Professor of Surgery. He received his board certification from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1994 and has served the college in many capacities, including the Board of Regents from 2012-2015. He is currently the Director of Certification for the ACVS.
