
Jason A. Syrcle, DVM, DACVS
Jason Syrcle, DVM, DACVS-SA, is a Professor of Clinical Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery and serves as Surgery Section Chief at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Syrcle graduated with a DVM from the University of Missouri and completed an internship and surgical residency at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. He was previously a faculty member at Mississippi State University from 2009-2019, where he served as Chief of Small Animal Surgery and ACVS residency program director. Dr. Syrcle’s dedication to his residents was recently recognized by their nomination of him in 2023 as an ACVS Honored Mentor. Dr. Syrcle is an AOVET faculty member and has served as a board member for the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. His clinical interests include fracture fixation, angular limb deformity correction and total hip replacement.
