Guidance on Reporting CRE (PDF): This document provides best practices for reporting of CRE isolates to clinical veterinarians. It aims to provide clear, accurate, and timely results.
Laboratory Protocols (PDF): This document is a collection of protocols used by the CREATE reference lab for implementation in your laboratory as needed. These methods have been validated in our laboratory by extensive use and comparison to Cepheid GeneXpert Carba-R PCR Assay which is considered a gold standard test.
Reporting Requirements by State (PDF): Reporting of CRE from companion animals varies in different jurisdictions. This document is updated annually and aims to provide the best information. This document is not focused on smaller jurisdictions such as counties or cities which may have their own requirements. This document is meant only as a guide and it is the isolating laboratory’s responsibility to confirm accuracy. Please contact us if information needs to be changed for your region.
