Penn Vet welcomes Tamara Totah, W’94, to the Board of Advisors. Totah is the Founder and CEO of Flatiron Venture Partners, a New York- and Denver-based venture capital firm focused on investments in seed-stage technology businesses, providing infrastructure and technology to new, nascent industries.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Totah began her career as a private equity investment professional at Goldman Sachs & Co. She subsequently founded and became CEO of DietSmart.com (NASDAQ: DIET), an online weight loss program. After selling the business to eDiets.com, she became president of the combined firm. Prior to founding Flatiron Venture Partners, Totah was the CEO of The Flatiron Group, an executive recruiting firm focused on finding investment professionals for global private equity firms and hedge funds. Flatiron Venture Partners is the culmination of her business acumen and her innate ability to bring people together.
Totah is chairperson emeritus of the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Fund Executive Board and the founder of the Waverly Place Association. She serves on the Investment Committee of Jewish Colorado, the Board of Directors of NCSY Denver, and is actively involved in AIPAC. She is a loyal Commanders fan and her favorite job, by far, is being mom to Raffi, Felix, and Axler, her proudest achievements.
