Alexandra Crooks, VMDAlexandra V. Crooks, VMD, DACVIM (Cardiology), is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology in the Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine. She obtained her VMD in 2016 from the University of Pennsylvania. She stayed at the University of Pennsylvania to perform a small animal rotating internship followed by a residency in cardiology, which she completed in July 2020. After working in private practice for two years, she returned to the University of Pennsylvania as a cardiology lecturer before beginning her faculty appointment. Her research interests include the utility of cardiac biomarkers and the management of congestive heart failure. She is also interested in the diagnosis and treatment of canine myocardial disease, particularly arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.  

Dr. Daniela Luethy, New Bolton CenterDaniela Luethy, MPH, DVM, DACVIM (LAIM), is an Assistant Professor of Large Animal Medicine in the Department of Clinical Studies – New Bolton Center. She received her veterinary degree from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in large animal surgery, medicine, and emergency/critical care at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center, followed by a residency in large animal internal medicine at New Bolton Center, achieving board certification in large animal internal medicine in 2018. After her residency, she worked at New Bolton Center as a lecturer for two years and then was recruited by the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Large Animal Medicine, before returning to University of Pennsylvania in her current role. Her research interests include large animal oncology, small ruminant medicine, and veterinary epidemiology.
