Description:
The VCIC is now enrolling up to twenty-four (24) dogs with a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) in one knee for a clinical trial assessing a novel anti-inflammatory delivery system delivered directly into the knee joint, prior to the tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) surgical procedure.
Dogs enrolled will make seven (7) visits within six (6) months to PennVet.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Dogs weighing 15 kgs (33 pounds) or greater
- Clinical signs of a cranial cruciate rupture
- Confirmed diagnosis of a unilateral cranial cruciate ligament rupture
- No evidence of other concurrent orthopedic diseases
Benefits:
- Financial coverage for study-visit examinations, blood work, anesthesia and sedations, x-rays, TPLO surgery, and all study visits and procedures upon confirmation of eligibility
