Penn Vet’s Dr. Dean Richardson to present at upcoming First Tuesday Lecture
[Kennett Square, Pennsylvania] – While it is known that art imitates life, just how much can it influence our understanding of the world we live in, including our understanding of equine anatomy?
Join renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Dean Richardson, Chief of Large Animal Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) New Bolton Center, as he explores the scientific truths lingering behind some of the world’s most famous creative muses.
The talk, “Paleolithic to Picasso: Interesting Stuff About Horse Anatomy,” will be held on June 4, 2019. An anatomy lesson disguised as an exploration in art, lecture participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of the complex physiologies of the horse.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in New Bolton Center’s Alumni Hall, 382 West Street Road, Kennett Square, PA, and is the final installment of the 2018-2019 First Tuesday Lecture series.

The First Tuesday Lectures are presented September through December, and March through June.
